Vampy...

As it draws nearer to September I am obviously getting more excited for all things Fall, check me out on Pinterest if you don't believe me.  I always get excited for this seasonally appropriate nail varnish with a cult type following~

::Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Vamp $27::

A perfect dupe, if you're not willing to spend that much on nail polish, is Revlon's Vixen! Here's to the first hint of leaves changing colors!

White out...

My favorite Fall accessory is as follows~

::Guess Neodan Pumps $99::

White pointed toe pumps. I am surprised at how much I love mine because I am not generally a pointed toe pump kind of person. I wanted a completely black and white look for a wedding and thankfully white pumps are in...

::Dress/Express, Shoes/Guess, Necklace/Francesca's::

If you're looking for a shoe this Fall to go with everything, these white pumps are them!

A fav & A fail...

I found a new favorite pink polish...

:: Essie "Meet me at the altar"::

I'm not jumping the gun or trying to send any subliminal messages to anyone, this varnish was given to me by my boyfriend's mom who doesn't wear this light polish!! It's has a little bit more of a lavender touch than Essie's "Fiji", which is my all time favorite but this color goes on much easier. If you've ever tried "Bikini so tiny", this polish is the pink version of that! I love it!

And a fail...well from first impressions.

:: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner::

The tip feels like a felt marker and the liquid is a little too watery so if you want a consistent, dark line it takes some building. I am going to keep working with it and see if it grows on me. I'll keep you posted!

Texture...

The thing I really love about Summer is how appropriate it is to work with the natural texture of your hair. Beachy waves are a summer must and it is far too hot to deal with hair dryers {and sometimes even curling irons} so working with my hair sans these tools has become pretty easy.

For weekend I just wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner, leave rolled in a towel for about a half an hour and then spray in my favorite sea salt texturizing spray.

::Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt spray/Ulta::

I've talked about this product before and I cannot stress enough what a time saver this product is during the summer. Spray it on damp or dry hair in order to get that fresh from the beach, piece-y look.

This is what my hair looks like when air dried & a few pieces curled after using this sea salt spray...

::Humidity ain't no thang with this hair!::

Note: for work days, keep hair more polished by running a straightener over roots of pieces framing your face to keep it from looking sloppy.

Life Lately...

Hey Pretties! I have to admit that summer leaves me with little inspiration, hence the lack of posts. Not to mention that weekends are filled with things to do and people to see, week nights are spent on patios with some sort of spirit enjoying the weather. Here is what's been going on lately

::Legends of Summer concert on Monday! JT & Jay-Z are honestly a match made in concert heaven::

::Brunch is my favorite meal & Zella in Chicago, IL is the best::

::Lately I've been attempting to not let Monday's get me in a funk::

::Keeping sequins casual by pairing this dress w/a jean jacket::

::Sushi dates with friends are easily one of my favorite past times::

Attempting to get inspired before the weather gets cold so I am not such a slacker!

Renegade...

Hello my pretty friends! I have added two new favs to my jewelry box, although they are not there very much because they have found a pretty permanent spot on my wrist!

::Stella & Dot Renegade Cluster $59::

::Michael Kors watch::

My favorite thing about this bracelet is that it's a stretch bracelet so it's super easy to slip on and off, and I was pleasantly surprised by the weight because it's pretty heavy duty. I got it in both gold and silver to match my watch!

Stella & Dot is awesome because you can find a stylist in your area, host a party and get great deals on the jewelry you're lusting. If you're not the party hosting type you can simply set up an online jewelry party for you and your friends, let your friends order online and receive deals. Or just order for yourself on their website!
