Falling Foward...

Hi pretties! Spent the weekend down in Bourbonnais, Il at the Chicago Bear's summer training camp and it got me extremely excited for football season which starts up again in...the...FALL!!! I am always a season ahead if it's Spring or Summer, I look forward to Fall and Winter the very second the first day of Spring starts.

I've had  pair of booties sitting in my room staring at me, wondering when I'll finally take them out into the real world? The answer is, when it starts to get chilly out!! The 100+ degrees it's been all summer doesn't make closed toed shoe wearing very comfortable.

Jeffrey Campbell Sgt. Pepper ankle booties!

These will be on high rotation when the temp dips with the additions of some studs and spikes because apparently I've turned into a punk?!

Sweet Summertime

Hi pretties! Please forgive my absence things at work have been nuts again and when I get home I usually crash! blah!

Now that summer is in full swing and the mercury is at a steady 95+ degrees I have really gotten down to the bare essentials for make-up. I am always nervous too much heavy make-up will make me break out. So I wanted to share with you my favorite summer face that is simple and sweet for these insanely hot days!

First, I started with Garnier Sheer Tint Anti-Dark Circle Roller. It gives the right amount of coverage to wear as concealer (for me anyway), the roller is a great way to wake your eyes up (plus caffeine in the formula is said to de-puff your eyes), and it has softened my dark circles because I can wear it under my make-up.

Next, is a tinted moisturizer. I decided to try Smashbox camera ready BB Cream with SPF 35. This formula is supposed to not only provide coverage but also fight against blemishes. Also, I've been trying to use more SPF to protect my epidermis :)

I have the Urban Decay Naked palette, and if you don't you should try it! I mix Virgin with the color below for a natural yet brightened up color

This is the color Naked from the palette, it's the closest to my skin tone but looks really pretty when mixed with Virgin

I give my lips some color with the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Candy Apple. It's more of a tint than a lipstick so it doesn't melt and gives long lasting color. This red compliments a lot of skin tones.

Then, I dust Nars bronzers in Orgasm across my cheekbones, hair line and a little on my neck to add some color and enhance my tan.

To finish I use whatever mascara I grab and go! It's easy and really brightens the face. If you're not too keen on red lip stain/lipstick then opt out for your favorite bold color. Now off to the fireworks!

CHEESE!

CFDA Awards...

Hi pretty friends! I've been negligent I know and I'm sorry! Tonight is the CFDA Awards and what better way to get inspired but share two of my favorite looks so far!

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in The Row

This surprised me too but I love this look all together. I think separately it wouldn't have felt like anything special to me but combined they look great! I'm always more of an Ashley Olsen fan but I think MK stole the show with this look. I love it.

Diane von Furstenberg in DVF

Of course the president of the Council of Desingers in America would steal the show in a black and white dress. I adore how it looks like hands!! This dress is just obnoxious enough to grab your attention but the classic cut makes it completely wearable. I fell in love with this the second I saw it. Plus DVF can do no wrong!

Gushing...

Hi pretty little friends!! I have been exhausted lately between enjoying long weekends with friends and long weeks learning new tasks at work I am still adjusting to my new schedule!!

I have to do a little product review for you guys because I have found my new favorite basic black pumps!! And it's from one of my favs...

SURPRISE!! It's LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's

These are some of the easiest high heels to walk in I have ever pranced around in! I am not a kitten heel kind of girl...anything under 3 1/2 inches tends to turn me off. These are my favorite height and are so easy to walk in, almost like training heels but perfect for any outfit!

As I am writing this I am watching the end of the first episodes of Fashion Star and I am becoming more and more obsessed as the seconds tick on! If you didn't get a chance to watch it tonight definitely set your DVR or catch it next week!! It's wonderful!

What a stud...

There is something about Spring that makes me love studs and spikes even more! I got a gift card from Charming Charlie and picked up this little gem! It definitely does not hang that nicely one the neck but it toughens up any outfit! Especially all those pastels and florals we are loving right now!

Charming Charlie "Especially Spiked Statement Necklace" $12.97

This weekend I was in Chicago for a friend's bachelorette party, which was so fun and to avoid any NATO protesters we took shelter in some very delicious restaurants, fun bars and ZARA! Where I found this jacket and even though its a little off season I am so excited to wear it with denim cutoffs in the warmer months and some skinnies and boots in the fall! The studs are my favorite part!

xoxo pretties!

Sleepy time love...

Evening pretties! I am getting ready for bed but I had some thoughts I wanted to share before I catch some zZzZzZ's...

First, the Met Gala was last week and there were some gorgeous gowns on the red carpet but my favorite this year was a surprise even to me!

Kate Bosworth is always a fashion favorite but I'm not usually drawn to her style. For whatever reason this year I fell in love with this feathered Prada number. I always expect the Met Gala to be a scene of over the top dresses but Kate's look is goth yet completely wearable! I love it.

Who was I sad did not attend this year? Um...Blake Lively! I was so excited because I loved her in Chanel last year that I could've only imagined what she would show up in this year. Maybe a cloak that made her invisible? :(

Two quick random things, first I wanted to try a new body scrub to prepare my skin for bikini, short, and sundress season. I picked up H2O's sea salt body scrub from Ulta and I love it! Word of advice though, don't use it right after cleaning your tub. The scrub is black so it kind of gets everywhere, try and use it right before cleaning day!

Lastly, I want to show you my newest obsession...WOLF PUPPIES!!

Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen? I want one so bad! His face looks like he should be named something like Sir Mason Kingston or something silly like that! <3
