:: Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture::

The silhouette of the dress is dramatic so I love that the color, her jewelry, and hair are soft. She looks absolutely flawless and the necklace is actually long which she wore pulled down her back! Love- the perfect gown for a best actress win, right?

::Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen::

She looks so statuesque and pretty! It all just works! High neck = updo

Fails

::Anne Hathaway in Prada::

Forget the wardrobe malfunction, when you're up for an Oscar (regardless if you've won before) you don't show up in something like this. I just don't get it, the back is a mess and the material seems cheap. Congrats on the win, though. 

::Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra::

I don't know if it's so much the dress I don't like or if it's her whole demeanor. First of all how many times have we seen Kristen Stewart in sheer frocks since the Fall? Pretty much every appearance she did for Snow White and the Huntsman (coincidence maybe?) and Breaking Dawn Part 2, but the fact that her hair looks like she hasn't brushed it since her tryst with that director and her smile screams "Yea I'm here and I don't care". So sad, I want to like her but I just can't.

I felt a little underwhelmed by the gowns this year but Jennifer Lawrence definitely stole the show and almost (almost**) made me forget all the dresses that disappointed.

Caroline Krafft...

Something about lipstick stains on teeth reminds me of the Mean Girls  quote about Caroline Krafft ::the girl Cady has to beat in the Mathletes competition::

"Miss Caroline Krafft seriously need to pluck her eyebrows, her outfit looked like it was picked by a blind Sunday school teacher, and she had some 99 cent lipgloss on her snaggletooth"

Then Cady goes on to realize making fun of this poor girl won't make her smarter but that's not my point here, I was taught by my grandmother a tried and true way of ensuring lipstick won't run off your lips onto your pretty little smile!

It's so easy, either before or after you blot ::because sometimes Kleenex can't get everything:: take either your index or your middle finger, stick it in your mouth, close your lips around it and pull it out ::like you would a sucker:: If there was any excess lipstick or lipgloss on the inside of your lips it will come off on your finger!

::It's a seriously old trick but it works wonders, don't forget to do it after you re-apply post meals::

Hi pretties! It's Saturday and I am feeling extremely lazy, probably has something to do with last night's shenanigans! ::oops:: But anyway I have been obsessed with a certain color combo for the last few week's now and I am sure by the title of this post you know what it is...

The tee is a little brighter than blush but I still love the combo! The tee shirt is actually from Kohl's junior department but I swear they are just like the v-necks at JCrew for a much more budget friendly price! Mint & blush are definitely Spring colors, especially when worn together but at this point in the year who isn't completely over the black/grey combo that has ruled our wardrobe all winter!

Ok before my computer dies- I've been trying to upload pictures like all night & either my internet or my Mac is being a jerk! In any case...


March 6th marks the return of one my favorite reality shows since The Hills, The Rachel Zoe Project!!! Not only that but It's a Brad, Brad World returns as well! Does anyone else really miss Rachel & Brad together? It makes me sad that they don't share a show! I DIE!!

Shine bright...

Hello my pretty friends!! We all know my love for Pretty Little Liars & my favorite style character Hanna {and lets be honest I find her extremely comical} and this last week she wore a Wildfox sweater that I have been in love with since I saw Selena Gomez in the red version here...

But imagine my surprise this weekend while wandering around Kohl's when I found this...

::Rewind sweater $44 on sale for $29.99::

Granted it's black and has sequins sewn into the fabric but it's a pretty good match! If you like the destressed look for the Wildfox version feel free to try your hand at some DIY destressing! Be warned I found it in the juniors department but I have found our juniors department has some really great basics & on trend looks for most ages.
